“I have found my home at OBC. When I finished graduate school, I moved 1,000 miles away from my home and family to find more opportunities in behavior analysis that could not only strengthen the skills I developed through my graduate experience but also shape the skills I had not yet to tap into. The team members I have met at OBC saw potential in me that I didn’t even know was there! I have had so many opportunities to work with staff that were just starting out as behavior techs who have grown into amazing clinicians and I have seen team members in other disciplines take on leadership positions within OBC that allowed them to spread their wings to start businesses of their own. During my time here, I have been promoted twice and have been given leadership opportunities for which I will be forever grateful! While I am still learning to do my role, and shaping it into what I think it can be, I feel constant support from my senior leadership team through successes and failures. “Not many people can say they get to have pool noodle sword fights and play with food when they're at work. That's what makes this job so entertaining and unique. The entire team is super fun, supportive, and encouraging to one another and our clients. We've created a close community, even in the midst of a pandemic. I also love OBC's multidisciplinary and holistic approach to therapy. As an RBT, I get to work alongside other skilled RBTs, BCBAs, SLPs, OTs, and COTAs who are focused on the success of all of our clients. It's extremely rewarding watching our kiddos excel, whether it's saying their first words, mastering potty training, or independently completing tasks that they used to struggle with!”
